The importance of college ministry is vastly understated in today's culture. As these student's move into the real world out from under their parents influence they are bombarded by the messages and agenda's of our fallen world. In this mass media confusion the local church is that small beacon of light. Romans 12 verses 1 and 2 A Living Sacrifice to God 1And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice—the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him. 2 Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect. First Baptist of Alachua seeks to give our students opportunities to worship God, grow in spiritual maturity, build lasting relationships with one another, and evangelize their peers. Currently we meet for sunday school in the "Madhouse" at 5:00 on Sundays for fellowship, and a lesson. The Madhouse is located directly north of the church parking lot. It's the old parsonage.
